The S-PEAK M6 Touch device is used to describe in words a geometric drawing on the embossed sheet. Based on what he / she hears, on how the geometric shape is described when touches the points and edges, the blind student can project this image in mind.

The 3D tetrahedron is drawn with dashed hidden lines and is printed on an embossed sheet of Swell Touch Paper.

Three different audio records were made for each item (points and edges):

  1. Audio recordings about what is a certain item, with the point letters (“A”, “B”, “C”, “V” and “H”) and the edges letters: (“A-B”, “A-V”, “C-V”, “A-C”, “V-H”)
  2. –
  3. More information about what is each point (“point A”, “apex V”, etc.) and edge (“base edge A-B”, “edge A-V”, “the hidden base edge A-C”, “V-H, the tetrahedron height”).
  4. Additional descriptive audio recordings with information about where is each point or edge, that will be played back after recording C. For points: “… in the left-back”, “… up”, “… in the plane and within the ABC triangle”. For edges: “… from bottom right to the viewer”, “… from bottom left to top” “… inside the tetrahedron, perpendicular to the plane of the base ABC”, “… behind, down”

So, if the C+D audio recordings are selected, when he / she presses a point or an edge, both audio recording are played one after another:

Press on… Audio recordings C (what) + D (where) are played in sequence:
A point “Point A” + “… in the left-back”
B point “Point B” + “… to the viewer”
V apex “V apex” + “… up”
H point “projection of apex V on ABC base plane” + “… in the plane and within the ABC triangle”
BV edge “edge B-V” + “… from the direction of the viewer, to the top”
CV edge “edge C-V” + “… from bottom-right to top“
AC edge “A-C, the hidden edge of the base ABC” + “… behind, down“
VH height “V-H, the tetrahedron height” + “… inside the tetrahedron, perpendicular to the plane of the base ABC”

Games

“Show me” game could be played. The M6 Touch device “asking” the user to touch the items in the “A” recordings: points and edges.

The document is created with S-PEAK AB Editor software.
